Location: 50/50 (Paddler’s Cove – 300 Prince Albert Road Dartmouth. NS & Remote)

Duration: 2 to 3 months, starting mid-March

supports emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness through self-help education, training,
resources, and connections with others.

Our mission: is to promote positive mental health and wellbeing, free from addiction, and foster
a culture of self-improvement by promoting the values of SHAPE (Sharing, Holistic Health,
Accountability, Peer Support, and Education). We endeavor to break down the stigma
surrounding mental illness and addictions, remove barriers to the access of resources, and raise
mental health awareness.

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Fund Developer/Grant Writer to
join our team on a 3-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of
securing funding through grant writing and donor relations. This position offers an opportunity
to make a meaningful impact by supporting our organization’s mission and programs.


  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and
  • Develop grant proposals and applications in alignment with organizational priorities and
  • Collaborate with Executive Director and program staff to gather information and data for
    grant applications.
  • Track and report on grant submissions, funding outcomes, and donor communications.


  • Proven experience in grant writing and fund development, preferably in the non-profit
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals
    and reports.
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases and tools is a plus.
