Selfhelpconnection.ca (the “Website”) is a website owned and operated by Self-Help Connection Clearing House (“SHC”, “we”, “us”, “our“), a registered charitable organization in Nova Scotia, Canada aimed at promoting wellness through self-help education, training, and community connections. SHC facilitates virtual and in-person wellness programs and events (the “Community Programs”) and provides access to various resources through the Website and Community Programs. SHC is funded by the Nova Scotia Office of Addictions and Mental Health.

SHC is committed to ensuring a positive experience for all who access our Website or participate in our Community Programs, while safeguarding our rights and the rights of our users. The following terms and conditions (the “Terms“) govern your access to and use of the Website and/or Community Programs (collectively, the “Services”).

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and SHC, and your use of the Services indicates your agreement to be bound by these Terms and our privacy policy, found at https://selfhelpconnection.ca/privacy-policy (the “Privacy Policy”), incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Services.

Not Medical Advice

If you access the Services from outside of Nova Scotia, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws of your jurisdiction.

Age Restriction. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 19 years of age.

Registration for Community Programs

To participate in or make use of the Community Programs, you may be required to complete a registration form. It is a condition of your participation in the Community Programs that all the information you provide is correct, current, and complete.

By providing your registration information, you are consenting to SHC’s use of the information consistent with our Privacy Policy, found at https://selfhelpconnection.ca/privacy-policy. Your privacy and the security of your personal information is of the utmost importance to SHC. Your personal information is used to facilitate the Community Programs and to evaluate and enhance their quality and impact. SHC thanks you for your trust and valuable contribution to the betterment of our community.

Disclaimer of Warranties

You understand and agree that any use of the Services is done so at your own risk. SHC has no responsibility or liability whatsoever for your use of the Services.

The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without any warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Entire Agreement. The Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and SHC regarding the Services.

Governing Law. The Services and these Terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia, Canada, notwithstanding your residence or physical location. Any dispute between you and SHC which cannot be resolved will be referred to the courts of Nova Scotia, Canada, and no other place. You agree to be bound by the laws of Nova Scotia.

Headings. The headings in these Terms are for convenience only and do not have any legal effect.
