Jeannine Riant

Jeannine is the owner of Fully Align Studio, a heart-centered wellness company focused on intentional stillness and alignment. She helps participants gain trust, clarity, and confidence through various modalities, including sacred drumming, Quigong, and Breathwork programs that she delivers through SHC. With certifications in Wholebody Focusing, Reiki, Access Bars, Yoga Instruction, and more, Jeannine provides a nurturing space for healing and personal growth.
 

In addition to her health and wellness expertise, Jeannie has her Masters of School Administration and over a decade of experience as a principal; she combines her educational background with her holistic training to offer comprehensive, transformative coaching. She continues to inspire and support women as they navigate their paths to personal and spiritual fulfillment.

Evie Dunville (she/her)

Evie Dunville (she/her) is a multifaceted professional with experience across the Arts, from creative design to psychology. Evie is a registered Art Therapist with a focus on creating accessible and sustainable environments for creativity and mental health to thrive. Evie’s client-centered approach emphasizes relational, humanistic, and feminist principles, providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals to explore their emotions, build self-confidence, and enhance creative wellness. 

Evie’s educational path includes a BA in Psychology and English from Mount Saint Vincent University, a BFA in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing from NSCAD University, and certification as an Art Therapist from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute. As a registered Art Therapist, Evie offers supervision to other professionals and is committed to continuous learning and advocacy for marginalized communities, including 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals.

David Maginley

David Maginley is a spiritual counselor, ordained minister, Therapeutic Touch©™ teacher, and a four-time survivor of Cancer. Leaning on his spiritual education and experience, as well as his own profound near-death experience, David has counseled those facing cancer and other life threatening conditions at the QE11 Health Sciences Center for over 25 years. David collaborates with Self Help Connection, delivering programs on Therapeutic TouchⓇ™, Grief & Mental Health, and Spirituality & Mental Health.

David is an accomplished public speaker and author, a specialist with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care, member of Canadian Association for Psychosocial Oncology, the International Association for Near-Death Studies, and is featured in the documentaries Here Right Now and When You Die.

Anita Rose-Carter (she/her)

Anita Rose-Carter has a long standing interest in mental health and has been involved in the mental health community for many years. She is an experienced  APPR/WRAP facilitator and co-founder of Eastern Shore Mental Health (ESMH). ESMH strives to improve the quality of life of people on the Eastern Shore who are facing mental health challenges through programs, services, resources, and weekly peer support meetings.

Anita shares her facilitation expertise with Self-Help Connection. Before founding ESMH, Anita spent 25 years with the Department of National Defence. Now, she is happily retired with four grandchildren and enjoying giving back to her community by following her passion for peer support. She believes we each hold the answers to our own wellness, and with a bit of help from peers we can live life well.

Amy MacKenzie

Amy is a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT), Canadian Certified Counsellor, and professional art therapist with ten years of clinical practice. She offers her services to individuals, couples, family dyads, children, teens, and groups, providing support to overcome life challenges, improve relationships, develop coping strategies, manage mental health concerns, enhance self-acceptance and self-compassion, explore creative problem-solving, achieve self-actualization, heal from past traumas, and experience inner growth. 

Amy’s therapeutic approach focuses on leveraging personal strengths and resilience to meet therapeutic goals. She offers counselling and art therapy services tailored for individuals, couples, family dyads, and groups.

LIFE as Medicine

LIFE as Medicine: Circle of Indigenous Healing Arts is a circle of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit creative and expressive arts therapists. They work with Indigenous Peoples, Communities, and Allies to envision, enact, revive, and promote collaborative relational healing arts. 

Facilitators have extensive and diverse backgrounds dedicated to Indigenous healing practices, expressive arts, and community empowerment. From artists and social workers to therapists and educators, the team includes Grandmothers, Elders, and activists united by a shared commitment to honour traditional knowledge and land-based practices.

Stephanie Osberg

Steph Osberg brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as a facilitator, with a diverse background spanning various roles in the training landscape. She has been keenly focused on chronic illness support where she partners with individuals living with chronic conditions, employing creative relearning and problem-solving techniques to her sessions. 

Steph is committed to trauma-informed practices and advocacy work, is actively involved in workshops addressing diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion, and is a big proponent of peer-based mental health programs including Emotional CPR and Alternatives to Suicide initiatives. Steph’s involvement extends beyond her professional endeavors into community and nonprofit involvement, where she serves on various boards.
